Apostolic Discipleship
(Uganda Chapter)

Apostolic Discipleship is not new. It is a restoration, returning the Church to its apostolic foundation by focusing on who Jesus is and what He accomplished through the twelve who became the Apostles.

The Stauros Apostolic Discipleship program in Uganda is centered on equipping church leadership to do effective ministry. This covers the fivefold ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers; as well as Bishops, Overseers, and Church leaders across various Christian denominations.

The 5-fold discipleship focuses on Christ’s mandate for the Church, ie making disciples of all nations. Discipleship focuses on grounding ministers in the Word of God, strengthening apostolic doctrine, and aligning leadership with the mission of Christ to extend His Kingdom in every sphere of society.

In discipleship, leaders are equipped to disciple believers effectively, shepherd congregations with biblical clarity, and influence communities through the transforming power of the gospel. We desire to see leaders raised and strengthened to be faithful stewards of the call of Christ and contribute to the discipleship of nations.

Our Three-Phase Discipleship Model

Preliminary Engagement: Regional Leadership Alignment

Before entering any region, we begin by meeting key church leaders and introducing the apostolic vision entrusted to us by the Lord Jesus Christ.

This stage focuses on:

  • Building relationships with regional leaders

  • Sharing the purpose of the apostolic move

  • Making practical arrangements for discipleship gatherings

Phase One: Following the Revelation of Jesus Christ

In this phase, we cover the following:

  • We are born again through the Lordship of the Lord Jesus, and everything is defined by Him.

  • God and everything concerning Him; that the Old Testament is a mystery, and Jesus Christ is His revelation.

  • Our Lord Jesus Christ influences and interprets every aspect of Christianity, including the Bible, Scriptures, the Word, Himself (Jesus), the Holy Spirit, and God.

The goal is clear: Christ becomes the lens through which all things are understood.

Phase Two: Imitation of the Revelation of Jesus Christ

We emphasize that in Christ’s suffering, we receive new life, and through Him, the glory of God, who is a mystery, is revealed. The topics covered include;

Part 1: The Sufferings of Jesus Christ

  • Understanding Sin as the major problem of humanity.

  • The incarnation—God becoming flesh, bearing sin to pay its wages.

  • The death of Jesus Christ and its impact on our salvation.

  • His burial.

  • His resurrection.

Part 2: The Glory That Followed

  • His resurrection.

  • His ascension.

  • His glorification.

  • His enthronement.

  • His exaltation.

  • Eschatology, which focuses on Jesus Christ and examines the last days.

Phase Three: Becoming the Revelation of Jesus Christ

Following equipping leaders in the first two phases, our focus shifts to soul-winning, and we conduct massive city-wide crusades conducted through;

  • Door-to-door evangelism

  • Street prophetic evangelism.

Souls won are entrusted to the five-fold ministers who have fully participated in the discipleship process. These leaders then nurture new believers into mature disciples of Christ, ensuring the Great Commission is fulfilled.

Our Belief:

The Lord Jesus Christ is not returning for mere church members, but for sons; priests, and kings who reflect His nature and walk in His purpose.
